Geeky Wedding Cakes that makes you wish you could get married again. Or soon :P

I have been planning to write this post since forever. I’ve been attacked with morning sickness, general headcolds, extreme frustration towards my job and several other stuff that could keep me moaning for ages but it is now time to make this (and the following) post come true!

1. Game Over

I actually had this cake topper on my wedding cake. Lacking the Playstation, giant flat screen and red bull cans of course but I still had them all back home in RL size – minus the Red bull which you can replace by Ice tea cans and Milko bottles. I find it kinda silly that it is a PS3 console with an Xbox game on screen but the dude might as well have the Xbox on the other side of the TV, much like my hubby has hooked a PS3, a Wii and his Desktop PC on our flat screen 😛

2. Zombies

Till death do us apart? I think not. “Till Zombies eat your brains out and I have to kill you with a chainsaw” sounds more like it! Special Kudos to the geeky bride cause it takes guts (lol) to have this as your cake. I hope it’s not filled with brains.

3. Tim Burton

This is my geekgasm cakes.  I actually have Jack& Sally on the Swirly mountain figures and could easily use them as a cake topper but it didn’t even occur to me during planning my wedding. See my dad was pretty bad in his health back then (luckily he’s fine now) and we had to have a rushed wedding just in case. If I did it now it would be all geek/victorian/steampunk themed. ALL TOGETHER!
I really love the Burtonesque feeling of these two cakes. I bet they tasted like awesomeness would.

4. E-QUA-TE!

Dalek Cakes? Seriously? Man this is so twisted and fantastic it makes me wanna bounce ^^

5. Wii-Ntendo

I bet this would be my hubby’s choice of a topper since he’s a Nintendo nerd fanboy. I don’t think I’d look that good as a Mii though.

6.  Leia and Han Solo

I don’t really need to comment on this one. I just need to go Awwwwwww

7. Buffy& Angel

I’m more a Spike/Buffy shipper but this cake is so well made it makes me forget that at times. I really wish Buffy was holding a stake though…

8. Super Mario& Peach

Now that I think about it again THIS would be my hubby’s choice for a cake although I’d probably veto it since I really don’t do blond and pink 😛 The cake is so amazing though. I especially love the piranha plants!

9. Steampunk

This is a steampunk cake and its topper (if I recall corectly) I can really imagine the couple dancing their first dance to “Sleep Isabella” by Abney Park :B

10. Futurama

I love this one although I’d probably use Bender instead of Fry. LOL

11. Alien

LAst but not least is the Alien cake. A sculpting work (in fraking fondant!!) that could shame HR Giger himself. Seriously, the dude (or dudette) who made this cake is highly skilled and right down awesome. I personally LOATHE the “Alien” franchise not for any other reason than that I watched it very young and it gave me plenty of nightmares/made me scream my head off in a full theater *dies of embarassment* I should probably attempt to watch the films again though. I’m not really squeamish…
