This is Halloween, this is halloween pumpkins scream in the dead of night!

Well, my country doesn’t celebrate Halloween so this is just another boring Sunday around here which has fraked up my bio-clock due to daylight saving time change -.- Anyway, this is a good opportunity to admire the hardwork that went into these Jack-o-lanterns. Enjoy!

PS- If any of you has carved a nice sci-fi pumpkin leave a comment and I’ll feature you too!

And the award of the geekiest pumpkins out there goes to these two guys:

Scott Allie outlines ‘Dollhouse’ comic

Posted in Joss Whedon/Whedonverse with tags , , on October 24, 2010 by Geek Tv

Scott Allie has revealed some details of Dark Horse’s upcoming Dollhouse comics. The editor expanded on the recent announcement of more Joss Whedon-related titles from the publisher, including some based on his latest television series. Allie told MTV News that a 20-page mini-comic by married creative team Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen was included in the recently released Dollhouse season two boxset.

“You don’t see a lot of detail about how it happens in the show, so this mini-comic we did for the DVD is an original story by them that shows how the technology went public and turned most of the population into these zombies – or what they refer to as ‘butchers’. People’s brains just get shut off and they become hyper-violent, wreaking havoc on each other and everything around them.”

A one-shot released next April will expand on the mini-comic, and will be followed later in the year by a five-issue miniseries.

“All of the comics that we’re doing take place in the ‘Epitaph’ scenario, the post-apocalyptic environment from those episodes,” he said.

1. The Impala from Supernatural

Sam& Dean's badass car. I don't want to eat it, I want to drive it.

2. Lord of the Rings

One cake to rule them all.
I really love the Boromir Ryan text

3.Battlestar Galactica

Fraking Awesome

4. Hobbit Hole

In a hole in a cake there lived a Hobbit. Then ate the cake for second breakfast

5. Hogwarts

If this person isn't patient then I don't know who is. Accio cake!

6. The TARDIS

I don't know if this will take you through time and space but it would surely score you awesomeness points if you presented it at your party! Unless you invited the school bullies. Which I can't see why you would.

7. Dalek Cake Goodness

RU-MI-NATE

8. Stargate

THIS is the cake I want. Want want want want. OMGWTFBBQ

9. Buffy

This is a fantastic cake to bring to a Twitard party. LMAO. Seriously now this cake is fantastic. I love the crisp details and colours!

10. True Blood

This is an awesome cake to make for the next True Blood Season Premiere party. I suggest you choose Red Velvet cake filling!

Geeky Wedding Cakes that makes you wish you could get married again. Or soon :P

Posted in Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Doctor who, Geekery, Joss Whedon/Whedonverse with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on October 17, 2010 by Geek Tv

I have been planning to write this post since forever. I’ve been attacked with morning sickness, general headcolds, extreme frustration towards my job and several other stuff that could keep me moaning for ages but it is now time to make this (and the following) post come true!

Enjoy!

1. Game Over

I actually had this cake topper on my wedding cake. Lacking the Playstation, giant flat screen and red bull cans of course but I still had them all back home in RL size – minus the Red bull which you can replace by Ice tea cans and Milko bottles. I find it kinda silly that it is a PS3 console with an Xbox game on screen but the dude might as well have the Xbox on the other side of the TV, much like my hubby has hooked a PS3, a Wii and his Desktop PC on our flat screen 😛

You can get one here

2. Zombies

Till death do us apart? I think not. “Till Zombies eat your brains out and I have to kill you with a chainsaw” sounds more like it! Special Kudos to the geeky bride cause it takes guts (lol) to have this as your cake. I hope it’s not filled with brains.

3. Tim Burton

This is my geekgasm cakes.  I actually have Jack& Sally on the Swirly mountain figures and could easily use them as a cake topper but it didn’t even occur to me during planning my wedding. See my dad was pretty bad in his health back then (luckily he’s fine now) and we had to have a rushed wedding just in case. If I did it now it would be all geek/victorian/steampunk themed. ALL TOGETHER!
I really love the Burtonesque feeling of these two cakes. I bet they tasted like awesomeness would.

4. E-QUA-TE!

Dalek Cakes? Seriously? Man this is so twisted and fantastic it makes me wanna bounce ^^

5. Wii-Ntendo

I bet this would be my hubby’s choice of a topper since he’s a Nintendo nerd fanboy. I don’t think I’d look that good as a Mii though.

6.  Leia and Han Solo

I don’t really need to comment on this one. I just need to go Awwwwwww

7. Buffy& Angel

I’m more a Spike/Buffy shipper but this cake is so well made it makes me forget that at times. I really wish Buffy was holding a stake though…

8. Super Mario& Peach

Now that I think about it again THIS would be my hubby’s choice for a cake although I’d probably veto it since I really don’t do blond and pink 😛 The cake is so amazing though. I especially love the piranha plants!

9. Steampunk

This is a steampunk cake and its topper (if I recall corectly) I can really imagine the couple dancing their first dance to “Sleep Isabella” by Abney Park :B

10. Futurama

I love this one although I’d probably use Bender instead of Fry. LOL

11. Alien

LAst but not least is the Alien cake. A sculpting work (in fraking fondant!!) that could shame HR Giger himself. Seriously, the dude (or dudette) who made this cake is highly skilled and right down awesome. I personally LOATHE the “Alien” franchise not for any other reason than that I watched it very young and it gave me plenty of nightmares/made me scream my head off in a full theater *dies of embarassment* I should probably attempt to watch the films again though. I’m not really squeamish…

‘True Blood,’ Joss Whedon lead Comic-Con Friday

Posted in Comics, Joss Whedon/Whedonverse, True Blood with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on July 10, 2010 by Geek Tv
Are you a fan of vampires, Joss Whedon or Joss Whedon alumnae? If so, the Comic-Con schedule for Friday, July 23 should make you very, very, very happy.
After a relatively light Thursday schedule on the TV side, Comic-Con has announced a Friday schedule that will force small screen fanatics to run hither and yon across the San Diego Convention Center to catch even a few highlights.
Obviously the big tickets for Friday are in Ballroom 20, including an hour-long conversation with Mr. Whedon himself and then the sure-to-be passionate panel for HBO’s “True Blood.” Whedon devotees will also be able to catch David Boreanaz, Summer Glau, Seth Green and Morena Baccarin on various panels throughout the day.
Friday is also highlighted by a wide assortment of TV animation panels, two different new shows from Steven Spielberg (but no Spielberg) and, for the wee ones, the first-ever Comic-Con panel for “Yo Gabba Gabba!”
