Darth Vader: Now On Sale!

Are you a wealthy nerd? Have you always dreamed of owning one of the original Darth Vader costumes, but lacked the Jedi skill to infiltrate and acquire one from Skywalker Ranch? Well my young Padawan, have I got some news for you!

Christie’s London is set to auction one of the original Vader costumes worn by David Prowse in “The Empire Strikes Back” this week, with bidding to start at a meager £230,000 (about $366,600). Talk about a steal! A portion of the final sale will be donated to Cancer Research UK, so place your bids now and remember: may the force be with you!

Tardis to be sold in ‘Doctor Who’ auction

A number of props from Doctor Who will go on sale next week.

The items available to buy at the Bonhams Entertainment Auction include the Tardis used in 2005 by Christopher Eccleston. It is expected to sell for between £8,000 and £12,000.

The oldest surviving Dalek, which appeared in a 1964 episode, is also among the lots and has an estimate of £2,000 to £3,000.

Elsewhere, a 5ft model of the Tardis is expected to reach between £300 and £400, while a Cyberman helmet from 1967 has a price tag of between £3,000 to £4,000.

The items will go on sale in London on June 23.

True Blood auctions a walk on part

A walk-on role in True Blood will be auctioned for charity.

The non-speaking part is currently being sold online to raise money for the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN).

The winner will receive “a non-speaking, featured ‘extra’ walk-on role” on the show. The highest bid is currently $3,500 (£2,400) but fans have a week left to win the lot.

Other items included in the GLSEN auction include the chance to sit in on a Family Guy table read and a visit to the Bones set.

Lost: props to go on sale at auction

Fans of the television show Lost will be able to buy props from the series. The Hollywood Reporter says that items from the programme will be sold during an auction. The sale is being organised by Profiles In History and will be held in Los Angeles this summer. Over 100 props have been listed so far, including Charlie’s acoustic guitar and Dharma Initiative food and drink. Other items include the characters’ passports and ID cards, Locke’s wheelchair, Sawyer’s letter and Eko’s staff.

True Blood Auction for Walk for the Cure

Friends of True-Blood.net, Walking for Warriors, are preparing for the Susan G. Komen Walk for the Cure and have launched an online auction as part of their fundraising efforts. We’ve donated a True Blood swag bag (Dead in Dallas, t-shirt, notebook, little backpack) for the cause, plus they have other items from Arbonne, CaseLogic, and some neat art pieces.
