True Blood Comic Book Covers, Sneak Peek

MTV has a sneak peek at the True Blood comic book, debuting at Comic Con in July. In addition to the first six pages from issue #1, they also have four different covers for that issue courtesy of IDW Publishing. Check them out at MTV.com.

Free Comic Book Day on Saturday!

The first Saturday of May every year since 2002 is Free Comic Book Day 😀 Joe Field wrote an article in the August 2001 issue of Comics & Game Retailers trade magazine brainstorming about the idea. With a little coordination by Diamond Comic Distributors, Free Comic Book Day was born. This gets you to your local independent comic book store, and it’s also a great way to bring a friend to the world of comics.

True Blood Comic Book Cover Revealed!

The True Blood comic book cover art has been released from IDW!! It features Tara, Jessica, Eric, Sookie, Bill, Sam, Jason and Lafayette. And it’s a comic book you can sink your teeth into :[

The story is written by True Blood creator Alan Ball and is said to be scripted by David Tischman famous for Bite Club. The story is to take place in Merlotte’s bar where Sookie, Bill, Eric, Tara, Jason, Sam, and Lafayette are trapped by a ghost. It’s a dark and stormy night and the ghost forces the group to retell their deepest darkest secrets so that it may feed off their shame.

Fans can buy the comic only on HBO’s website. The price is gonna be $4.99 per issue for the 6 issue series. They will be shipped July 21st.

Each comic does come with a pull out center poster.
